About Aly

Alyssa Jane West, affectionately known as Aly, was a vibrant and joyful soul who left a lasting impact on everyone she crossed paths with. Born with an active and vivacious spirit, her radiant smile and beautiful eyes had the remarkable ability to fill those around her with pure joy and love.

 

Aly held a deep love for her faith, her family, and her cherished friends. She referred to herself as a Child of God, a foundation that would shape her compassionate and caring nature throughout her life. Her years at Huntington Christian School were filled with purpose and passion, where she not only excelled academically but also dedicated her time to volunteering at First Christian Church and the Youth CORE program. 

 

Aly’s truest expression of herself was found on stage, where she felt most at home. Whether it was through singing, dancing, or acting, she poured her heart and soul into her performances. Beyond the spotlight, she reveled in the simple pleasures of life—immersed in books, cherishing time with family and friends, and savoring the joy of a good song, beach days, and downtown shopping sprees.

 

Her boundless energy extended beyond her artistic pursuits. Her unwavering commitment to helping others was evident in every aspect of her life. Aly's warm smile and kind eyes radiated love, touching the hearts of those fortunate enough to know her. She was a steadfast friend, always available to lend a listening ear, offer academic support, or simply share in a good laugh.

 

Aly's adventurous spirit led her to explore a wide array of activities and she approached each with fervor and dedication. Her tenacity was most evident in her freshman cheer journey, where she not only embraced the demands of the sport but also rose to become one of the team's captains.

 

Aly's infectious laughter and zest for life, combined with her innate ability to connect with others, made her a beacon of positivity and warmth.
